抗日战争时期，一个青年女子由于追求物质享受而堕入敌特组织，干了一系列特务勾当。最后，当她在临难不屈的共产党员的精神感召下，有所觉悟时，却被敌人杀死。                                                                      　　                                                                      　　影片根据茅盾同名小说改编。在40年代后期，影片编导曾计划把作家茅盾这一创作于40年代初并在当时产生广泛影响的作品搬上银幕，因政治环境不允许未能实现。                                                                      　　                                                                      　　上海解放后，文华影业公司将其列为重点剧目投入摄制。影片对女主人公赵惠明的处理，创作者曾经过认真考虑。赵惠明是特务，又是失足者。她是个思想性格复杂、内心冲突激烈的人物。                                                                      　　                                                                      　　影片于1950年冬上映，受到观众欢迎。不久报刊有文章提出影片对赵惠明“过于同情”的批评，认为与当时正在开展的镇压反革命运动方针政策不相吻合。影片即不予放映。

简介：刘镇伟从《大话西游》中提取概念重新编写故事，新片《越光宝盒》亦可能再度使出“独门武功”进行“穿越时空”式叙述从现有名单来看，当年的几位主演如“紫霞”朱茵、“铁扇公主”蔡少芬、“瞎子”江约诚等都再次于《越光宝盒》中聚首，足见刘镇伟导演又想给观众过一把“大话”瘾。由于该片名称与《大话西游》仅一字之差，不仅让人怀疑此间的“暧昧”，而男一号郑中基则否认自己与周星驰此前扮演的“至尊宝”有相似的地方。刘镇伟为什么会取《越光宝盒》这样一个名字，他表示“越”是“穿越时空”的意思，与《月光宝盒》是完全不同的故事，“越是穿越的意思，这个故事跟《月光宝盒》是彻头彻尾不同的。 　　虽然不算是《大话西游》的续集，但这部影片的故事其实都来自紫霞仙子的两样宝物：紫青宝剑和月光宝盒。朱茵再次出演紫霞仙子，不过她只是串场人物，这部戏的女主角是玫瑰仙子孙俪。玫瑰仙子因为仰慕紫霞与至尊宝的爱情而偷走紫青宝剑，希望能寻求那种命中注定的爱情，她帮助男主角山贼清一色（郑中基饰）获得月光宝盒，在时空穿梭中演出一段疯狂的穿越故事。可以说正是这两位仙界美人串起了《越光宝盒》的故事，不过在老顽童刘镇伟的执导下，她俩一个是花痴，一个成为“仙界祥林嫂”，俨然一对“神经仙子”。

People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
