Liberal politician Gerben Kooistra becomes deputy Mayor of a small village. He is assigned to stay low profile while solving a ‘private problem’. Soon he discovers that the seemingly boring border-village is a hub for drug smugglers, led by hardened criminal Toontje van Wanrooy.
