本片记录了88岁高龄的淮北梆子著名老艺人顾锡轩演出的《寇准背靴》。 北宋时期，昏王无道，听信谗言，陷害忠良，将忠心报国的杨延景元帅充军云南。而后奸臣王钦若陷害杨延昭，假传圣旨赐其毒药。杨延景狱中好友任堂辉不忍忠良遭害，喝下毒药才使得杨延昭逃过一死。后来，杨府虚报杨延昭病死，假设灵堂，想自此回河东隐居。此时，辽军进犯，边疆告急。八贤王和天官寇准听到杨延景的噩耗，心情十分沉痛，并为朝中失去披肝沥胆的忠良而深感忧悒。于是，二人同往杨府吊唁。寇准在灵堂上看到杨延昭的儿子杨宗保不甚悲哀；又见到杨延昭的妻子柴郡主外面虽身着孝服里面却着红裙；还听到佘太君向八贤王奏本，举家要回河东，心中顿生疑团，便以守灵为名留八贤王同在杨府。夜晚，寇准疑虑满怀，难以入眠。这时，他忽然发现柴郡主来其窗外窥视后，提着篮子急忙向花园走去。寇准看穿其中有些蹊跷，便尾随柴郡主前往花园，柴郡主在黑夜中疾行，不小心摔了跤，篮子落在了地上。紧跟其后寇准也失惊跌倒，碰掉了纱帽，摔脱了靴子。寇准在寻找纱帽时，发现了篮子里的饭菜，并与寻找篮子的柴郡主碰在一起。寇准躲闪不及，又怕被柴郡主发现，便设法躲过了柴郡主。他为赶上柴郡主看个究竟，便背起靴子踉跄跟踪而去。寇准终于看到柴郡主将饭菜送进花厅，并听到她与杨延昭在花厅里讲话。这可乐坏了忠心为国的寇准，急忙赶回将此事报知八贤王。忧虑中的八贤王听说杨延昭还在人世，十分惊喜。于是，君臣二人悄悄地来到花厅，设法见到了杨延昭。从此，世代忠良的杨家又重为国为民捍卫边疆。

简介：從大陸撤到臺灣的一批將士及其親屬中，有一個來自河南的大家庭。除了將軍的跟班福順和姥姥（陶述 飾）中意的那副齊白石的柿子圖意外走散，家裏人口總算齊全的到達了臺灣。　　換了一個新地方，姥姥各種不適應，被將軍女婿（石雋 飾）許諾不久就能重返老家。但隨着時間的推移，這個問題很少再被提及。橫在一家人面前的是生活的難題。家裏小孩衆多，物資匱乏，但點子頗多的姥姥常常化腐朽爲神奇。像是把女婿照的X光片裁成多份做寫字板；跟教堂的修女弄好關係得到麪粉牛奶；把女婿的錦旗做成孩子們校運會的旗幟等，過程中惹出不少笑話。而沒了官職的將軍則和妻子倒弄起養殖業，雞鴨青蛙魚輪番上陣，還賣過鉛筆，但都沒能賺到錢。日子就這麼平平淡淡過去，孫輩漸漸長大，而福順（趙正平 飾）意外地和這家人再次相遇，帶來了姥姥的那副柿子圖及那份不曾離去的鄉愁。

People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
